This shows us how complicated it will be for him to aport to the group if he can't run or do physical activities. This inequality would likely generate problems and fights between piggy and others.
Mishelle	"I don't care what they call me,"he said confidently,"so long as they don't call me what they used to call me at school #11	At the start of the book, piggy, was mentioned as the fat boy. Then, he introduced himself and said that he didn't care what they called him, unless it was piggy because that was what they used to call him at school. This indicates us that he was bothered and treated badly because of his appearance.
Mishelle	"about being called piggy. I said I didn't care as long as they didn't call me piggy; an' I said not to tell and then you went an' said straight out-" #25	The fact that piggy reacted badly to Ralph telling everyone that his name was piggy, shows how sensible he is when people talk badly about him. Also, it shows that he isn't afraid to express what he feels, since he is actually telling Ralph that what he did made him feel very sad and betrayed.
